Journey of JET Sri Balaji Temple Perth

2018 & 2019: A Divine Beginning: Ni:ra:janam

With the blessings of Acharya His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, Ni:ra:janam, a spiritual event that brought the divine essence of Tirumala Tirupati to Western Australia was organised by JET Australia Foundation.

First Held over two glorious days in March 2018, at Perth Modern School, this event offered devotees the rare opportunity to immerse themselves in rituals and prayers as performed in the sacred temple of Lord Ve:nkate:swara at Tirumala Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh, India. The air reverberated with chants, and hearts overflowed with devotion, as if the hills of Tirumala had descended upon Perth.

The 2019 Ni:ra:janam was especially transformative, leaving an Unforgettablemark on all who participated.

As the event concluded, a profound realization dawned—Lord Ba:la:ji’s presence in Perth was not meant to be temporary. A deep, divine calling stirred within the hearts of devotees and volunteers, who felt inspired to establish a permanent abode for the Lord. The idea of bidding farewell to the deity became unthinkable, and the seed of a sacred vision was sown—a vision to create a temple where Lord Ba:la:ji’s blessings could eternally grace Perth.

April 2019 - 2020: Growth of Momentum and Team

After the Ni:ra:janam of 2019, the desire for a Ba:la:ji Temple grew stronger in the hearts of devotees during the latter half of 2019 and throughout 2020.

This period was marked by the blossoming of divine inspiration and the simultaneous expansion of a dedicated volunteer team and new services for the Lord, like Srirasthu Subhamasthu and Sri: Sri:niva:sa Aa:radhana were initiated.

The collective vision gained momentum in 2020 when the search for a suitable piece of land began.

There was a shared yearning for a serene location—spacious, surrounded by fresh air, lush greenery, and tranquility, from the rush of city life. The search spanned months, with countless (more than 40) sites considered and due diligence conducted in every direction of Perth. In January 2021, after much prayer and perseverance, the Lord Himself seemed to guide the devotees to the perfect place. It was as though HIS divine hand pointed the way, affirming that this land was destined to become HIS eternal abode in Perth.

January 2021: A Divine Vision Manifested

What began as a spark of devotion during Ni:ra:janam has now evolved into a sacred mission fueled by faith and unity. The journey from heartfelt prayers to laying the foundation of a permanent temple stands as a testament to the unwavering devotion of the community and the Divine will of Lord Ba:la:ji.

The dream of creating a sanctuary where Lord Ve:nkate:swara’s presence would eternally bless Perth is no longer a dream but a reality in the making, guided every step of the way by HIS divine grace.

A dedicated website for JET Sri Balaji Temple was developed by Volunteers www.jsbt.org.au as we embarked on the journey.

January 2021: Story of 67 Folly Road, Baldivis

Through help of real estate experts in the community, we managed to look at a rural acreage Land in Baldivis in January 2021.

January 2021:

Team went looking for Lot 52 Young Road which Miraculously Led us to the neighbouring property at 67 Folly Road.

Story of Chariot Shed at 67 Folly Road, Baldivis:

We Visited a property at Lot 52 Young Road in Baldivis- 13 Acres Land and we thought this was the land which was meant to be. But Lord intervened through a random messenger at the right time and guided us towards a 18 acre land at 67 Folly Road which was located very next door to the property. Amazing thing about this property was there was already an existing chariot shed like looking structure which was used by original owners to park their boat. Our hearts knew when we saw this property, this was meant to be for Temple. It soon became true through the process of due diligence.
